I’m a recent graduate of Hereford college of Arts in the field of Graphic Design. I chose Graphic Design as it allows you to take a simple concept and develop it into different directions. I especially enjoy using live briefs as you get an outline from a client of what they want and then you have to make that come a reality.
In my work I take inspiration from dada movement especially with artists like Hannah Hoch and the collage work of Peter Horvath. I like that you can take separate images and take elements from them to create a new.
From a young age I’ve always had an interest in taking photos which lead to a keen interest in photography which goes hand in hand with graphic design, I especially like the work of Fred Herzog, capturing everyday people doing everyday things against artificial and natural lighting, I find these dramatic and inspiring. Photography is something I always try to incorporate into my own work.
So, with these skills I’ve gained so far and with the experience I will obtain in the future, this will carry me on to further endeavours and projects in the field of Graphic Design.
